Signing of the loan with « Financière Océor » (Caisse d’Epargne and BNC group) and « BRED Banque Populaire » for the financing of the construction works of the North Plant via SMSP.
Thanks to the industrial partnership with the world leader of stainless steel POSCO and the launching of the Gwangyang processing Plant in South Korea, SMSP has acquired a capacity to borrow that allows her to participate directly into the financing of the construction works of the North Plant.
Financière Océor (Caisse d’Epargne and BNC) and BRED Banque Populaire groups are actively committing themselves to this construction programme in participating in the financing, via SMSP, of works which incurred costs already amounted to more than one billion dollars.
In spite of the financial crisis, a loan of 150 million euro over a 20 years period repayable from 2014 has been granted to SMSP. Over the year 2009, another loan for an equal or higher amount will be established.
