Tuesday, February 5 at 3pm, the grinding/drying process of ore began with some tests, carried out on the ore preparation unit. These tests were performed with 20 tons of wet ore in order to check the overall equipment process including the crushing and drying mill, the separator, filters, the hot gas generator, the transport system and the dry ore storage.
It is possible that smoke can be seen in the coming days, in which case, there will be no risk. This can be explained during the tests, while the frequent stopping and restarting of the process will lead to the emission of hot gas in a fairly dark color for a few minutes before reducing gradually. Emission measures and controls are insured continuously within the same process in addition to permanent air quality’s monitoring.
